criminal minds // treatment // storyboard //

pieces //

Someone is thoughtfully compiling a series of images printed on acetate. This hand could be that of a criminal plotting a crime, an investigator solving of a mystery, or a psychologist exploring one’s mind. Initially the images seem to be arbitrarily placed but we soon discover that every image is a key piece to  the face portraying a criminal mind. This mysterious and visually rich solution conceptually and structurally embodies the essence of the show.

The use of still imagery alludes to memory and crime scene photos. This surreal method refers to the psychological aspect of the show while also allowing a story to be told in a sophisticated manner. While the majority of the images are black and white stills, small elements throughout could have subtle movement and color such as the flames, the blood or the birds flying away at the end.
